SJSU Exchanges

Study at a partner university abroad for a semester or a year through an SJSU Exchange. SJSU Exchanges are managed directly out of our office, and we partner with institutions around the world that have the best academic fit, course offerings, and international student services. These programs are only open to SJSU students, and you can choose from programs in over 20 countries (and growing)!

On SJSU Exchanges, you study at a partner university with students from all over the globe, pay your regular SJSU tuition, and receive SJSU credit for every class you take. On most programs, you can take all of your courses in English. You also have the option to take your courses in the local language. There are programs for every major, and all financial aid applies. There are even scholarships just for students who study abroad. Many students save money when studying abroad on an SJSU Exchange, as housing and meal costs abroad are typically much more affordable than room and board in San José. On some programs, you can intern or work part-time in addition to taking your study abroad courses.

To complete an SJSU Exchange application, you will need to submit your transcripts and complete an exchange program questionnaire. Several programs also require a letter of recommendation from a faculty member (either an SJSU professor or a professor from a previous university or college you have attended).
