This year's Competition is back, after being cancelled in Spring 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Silicon Valley Business Plan Competition is an annual forum to encourage innovation
in the SJSU community, and reward student participation in new venture creation. It
is Campus wide, and open to all SJSU students and alumni.

1st Prize – Winner of the Bill Barton grand prize award of $10,000 – Fabio Schmidberger forMedixflow - the digital voice assistant for senior care facilities.
2nd Prize – $5,000 award sponsored by Hooman Bolandi – Mohak Rastogi for Surplus – a platform that allows restaurants to reduce food waste by selling excess food at a discount to students.
3rd Prize – $2,500 award sponsored by Dave Hadden – Austin Tse for Bay Commons – creating dorms for adults.

1st Prize – Ambii team – Winner of the Bill Barton grand prize award - The world's first AI driven jukebox
- empowering groups to listen together, enabling each individual with the ability
to influence the music that plays for the entire group.
2nd Prize – ParkStash team - Award sponsored by Hooman Bolandi- ParkStash is the Airbnb for parking - a mobile
app that connects people having unused driveways/carports to someone looking for a
parking spot.
3rd prize – BAYbies' Spot team - $2,500 award sponsored by Dave Hadden, Arlo Inc.
The BAYbies’ Stop is a one stop shop that comes to you and delivers affordable, good
quality, gently used baby and children’s clothing
