African American/Black Student Success Center
The African-American/Black Student Success Center’s primary mission is retaining, empowering, and successfully graduating African-American/Black students at SJSU. They work with faculty, staff, administration, alumni and community stakeholders to foster academic achievement, pre-professional development, student leadership and cultural awareness.
Chicanx/Latinx Student Success Center
The Chicanx/Latinx Student Success Center was established to provide a community and support the educational, social and cultural needs of Chicanx/Latinx students at San Jose State University. The center seeks to represent, support and guide students both in and out of the classroom through various resources, programs and events, while allowing students to build their network of students, staff, faculty and administrators.
Educational Opporunity Program
The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) is designed to improve student academic support of first-generation, low-income, and educationally underserved students. The program provides admission, academic, and financial assistance to EOP-eligible undergraduate students.
The EOP staff is committed to providing students with support services to achieve their personal and academic goals. Support services include workshops, advising, mentoring, tutoring, and community events.
Guardian Scholars Program
The Guardian Scholars Program provides holistic support services for former and current foster youth, wards of the court, unaccompanied homeless youth, and youth under legal guardianship. The program assists students in navigating the San Jose State University system through access to key campus, community, and financial resources, such as book vouchers, locating year-round housing, and scholarships.
UndocuSpartan Resource Center
The UndocuSpartan Resource Center strives to empower all incoming and current undocumented students at San Jose State University. In partnership with campus entities, the center strives to nurture student's educational and career goals by fostering an inclusive and supportive campus environment, while introducing new knowledge to the campus community.

New Student and Family Programs offers several programs to support new students and their parent/families as they transition into SJSU! This website offers information regarding our Orientation programs, as well as Parent & Family resources on how to best support your student!
