Writing Personal Statements For Scholarships (Webinar)

For undocumented scholars, applying for scholarships can be an intimidating process, especially when a student doesn't know how much to disclose about their immigration status. We invite undocumented students (regardless of AB 540 or work authorization status), to join us for this workshop where you will learn about ways to approach answering prompt questions, review successful essay examples, and practice writing a short scholarship prompt.

When you think about yourself as an entrepreneur, what type of business do you imagine owning? What type of services would you like to offer? What will be the value of your service? During this presentation students will have an opportunity to learn about what it takes to start a business venture as a non-citizen entrepreneur, and the resources that are available for you to get you started.

SJSU College Corps Info Session for AB 540 Eligible Dreamers (Webinar)

SJSU undergraduate, undocumented students who qualify for AB540/ SB 68 are invited to apply to the SJSU College Corps service learning program that is now open. Students who complete 450 hours of service through the College Corps will receive up to $10,000 to help pay for college.

Paying Taxes

Almost everyone who works in the United States has to pay taxes. That also includes individuals who are self-employed, with or without work authorization. During this presentation participants will receive general information about how to report taxes, ITIN & Social Security Numbers, and resources available to help you with your business.
