San Jose State University
Dear Management Team:

Pursuant to Section 42740 of Title 5, California Code of Regulations, all Management Personnel Plan (MPP) and Executive Employees (President/Vice Presidents) are required to identify any conflict of commitment that would interfere with California State University (CSU) work assignments and employee performance.

Outside employment of an MPP or Executive Employee shall not conflict with normal work assignments or satisfactory performance. Outside employment refers to any employment not compensated through CSU payroll, including CSU foundation and CSU auxiliary employment. Volunteer work does not apply to this policy. More information can be found on the MPP Outside Employment page on the UP website.
Annual Reporting - Due June 30, 2021

All MPP and Executive Employees, whether full- or part-time, are required to submit an annual disclosure for the previous calendar year (January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020) even if they do not have any outside employment to report.

Follow the steps below to comply with reporting requirements by June 30, 2021:
  1. Complete the appropriate form via DocuSign. Please note, when you open the DocuSign form, click Use. You will be prompted to enter your name and the name of your manager.
  2. Once you complete, sign and submit the first section of the form, it will be routed to your manager for their review and signature.
  3. Once your manager has reviewed, signed and submitted the form, it will be routed to the University Personnel (UP) Compliance Team.
  4. The fully signed DocuSign form must be received by UP no later than June 30, 2021.
Additional Reporting Requirements

In addition to annual reporting, all MPP and Executive Employees, whether full- or part-time, are required to complete outside employment disclosure forms during the following periods:
