Enrolling in Training Courses

  1. Navigate to Enroll in Training Classes
  2. Click Search by Course Number
  3. Enter the Course Number (listed next to each course title; case sensitive)
  4. Click Search
  5. Click the hyperlink for the Session for which you wish to enroll
  6. Click Enroll

Please note: Enrollment for each course will be closed 2 days prior to the start date to allow time for setup for each attendee. You will be added to a meeting invite containing the Zoom dial-in information at least 2 days prior to the course date.

Initiate Recruitments - CHRS02
This course will teach you how to open a recruitment in the new system. This course is required in order to obtain this access. Log into SJSU @ Work to view available sessions.

Manage Faculty Recruitments – CHRS08
This course will teach you how to manage faculty recruitments, including routing applications and moving applications from one status to another. It will also review the processes to run recruitment reports and update the Job Card during the screening applications and evaluating interview process. This work will typically be done by administrative staff in departments, those who typically manage recruitments even if they are not part of the search committee.

This course is required for those who will be in these types of roles and replaces the previous CHRS05 Managing Recruitments course. Log into SJSU @ Work to view available sessions.

Manage Staff & MPP Recruitments – CHRS09
This course will teach you how to manage staff and MPP recruitments, including moving applications from one status to another. It will also review the processes to run recruitment reports during the screening applications and evaluating interview process. This work will typically be done by administrative staff in departments, those who typically manage recruitments even if they are not part of the search committee.

Screen & Evaluate Faculty Applications – CHRS11
This course will show you how to review and provide feedback online for faculty applications and interviews. This course is not required but is highly recommended for faculty search committee chairs and members, as well as department chairs/directors.

This replaces the previous CHRS04 Screen Apps & Evaluate Interviews course. Log into SJSU @ Work to view available sessions.

Screen & Evaluate Staff & MPP Applications – CHRS12
This course will show you how to review and provide feedback online for applications and interviews. This course is not required but is highly recommended for staff and MPP search committee chairs and members, as well as hiring managers.

Prepare Faculty Job Offers – CHRS10
This course will teach you how to prepare job offers for faculty recruitments, including preparing and editing the offer letter. It will also include the process to generate the part-time temp faculty hiring packet for submission to Employee Support Services (ESS). This work will typically be done by administrative staff in departments for part-time temp faculty but may be handled by staff in the Dean's Office for tenured/tenure-track/full-time temp faculty recruitments.

This course is required for those responsible for preparing job offers in the system and was previously part of the CHRS05 Managing Recruitments course. You must have completed CHRS05 or CHRS08 in order to enroll in this course. Log into SJSU @ Work to view available sessions.

Recruiting Integration - CHRS07
This course will show you how to automatically create data for new faculty hires in PeopleSoft. Access to this functionality will be limited to 1-3 people in the colleges, the library, athletics and counseling. Enrollment will be managed by the CHRS Recruiting team.
