Professional Degree Programs (PDP) offer through Special Session allow working people to earn graduate degrees and certificates at their own pace and schedule, often online or off campus. It’s a new way to go to college.

The courses are offered online or in the Silicon Valley rather than on campus. Working students can earn a degree without devoting precious hours traveling to campus or sitting in a classroom. While most San José State University (SJSU) students pay a yearly tuition to attend courses, PDP students pay by the unit so they can take as long as they want to finish their studies and come out in the end with the same degree as a regular student.

Most PDP degrees are offered in established areas of professional development. Rather than just taking an extension course, you will actually be working toward a degree that is likely to increase your chances of career advancement.
