I have an extensive career in construction, both as a contractor and developer. I am currently a partner in Appian Engineering, a general engineering contractor, as well as two real estate partnerships in which I am the managing partner.
The two college subjects that aided my success in business most were accounting and economics. Familiarity with accounting allowed me to fully understand my company's operations, profit and losses. Economics gave me the critical thinking skills to solve problems others overlooked.
I returned to SJSU in 1999, completed my Bachelor's degree in 2003, and stayed to finish a Masters in 2006. Along the way I renewed my passion for economics and began teaching. I enjoy working with students. If you have any questions please let me know and I will arrange to meet you.
