Bio

Dr. Arvinder P. S. Loomba is a Professor of Operations and SCM in the School of Global Innovation & Leadership, Lucas College of Business, at San José State University, California, USA. He has received teaching award/citations and has taught extensively in academic and executive education programs at various educational institutions in US and abroad. He teaches in the area of Operations Management, Project Management (for various industries: hi-tech, accounting, transportation, nursing, biotechnology, clinical trials, etc.), Supply Chain Management, Managing Product Development, Sustainable Supply Chains, Global Business, Managing Medical Product Development, and Service Management.

Dr. Loomba has been selected to the Fulbright Specialist Roster for the 5-year term of 2014-2019 in areas of business administration and medical product development. In 2014, he was the Sabbatical Fellow in Clinical Research Management at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). He has also served as a Lucas Research Fellow, on University Sustainability Board, and as director of Pacific Rim Institute, all at SJSU. He is an area expert on supply chain offshoring projects in global context, focusing on Asia, and has delivered keynote addresses in Japan and India. He is widely quoted on globalization issues by local, national, and global media. He has considerable global experience in project consulting and corporate training for multinationals firms throughout USA and in China, Korea, India, and Japan. His research interests include projects in sustainability, supply chains, global outsourcing, infrastructure, health care, and humanitarian issues. He serves as editor, on several editorial boards, and publishes extensively in academic journals, and has authored scholarly grants.
