The MS in Engineering, specialization in Smart Sustainable Energy Systems (SSES), currently the only online sustainable energy program in the U.S., prepares you with graduate-level skills to design and integrate clean energy into our modern world. Complete this degree in two years.

California has set goals that will fuel job growth in the energy industry, one of them being that by 2035, 100% of new cars and light trucks sold in California will be zero-emission vehicles. Join other professionals in gaining the essential knowledge to facilitate this growth by developing and enhancing smart energy systems to manage various renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, and hydroelectric power.

This cohort program provides the opportunity for networking while learning from home.

Students will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects in collaboration with Silicon Valley industry partners, developing skills relevant to the industry.

With this online degree, you can attend classes from anywhere in the country.

Renewable resources

In California alone, the renewable portfolio standard (RPS) requires 60% of retail electricity sales to come from renewable resources by 2030 and 100% by 2045. Join other professionals in achieving these goals with this degree.
