Pre College Programs
Thank you for your support of our Upward Bound and SJSU "UP" pre-college programs. As of June 30th 2016, these two programs have officially ended for the time-being, but we are starting a community-partnered pilot program in Fall 2016 with the Teen Center at the King Library in San Jose and St. Paul's United Methodist Church. This pilot expects to provide basic after-school tutoring, college-readiness seminars, and parent/family events. It is a non-religious program and will primarily serve Freshman and Sophomores in high school. Please contact Peter Allen Lee for more information: firstname.lastname@example.org.
San José State University's Pre-College Programs (PCP) had a 30-year history of fostering student success and accessibility into higher education. Started in 1976, we had provided comprehensive services to help participants develop the skills and motivation necessary to complete high school, enroll in post-secondary education, and graduate from the college or university of their choice. SJSU has had TRiO programs including Upward Bound and Educational Talent Search, and most recently SJSU "UP". We expect to continue our pre-college efforts in some way. If you are able to help, please contact us.
