Dr. Bee-Gates received her doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Stanford University and has taught at SJSU since 1999. She has co-authored research articles in child development, written for parenting magazines, and been featured in the San Francisco Chronicle, Newsday, and the Chicago Tribune. She is the author of I Want It Now: Navigating Childhood in a Materialistic World (Palgrave Macmillan).
