Currently teaching Introduction to Social Welfare and Social Work. Professor Villagran has been a part-time instuctor in the School of Social Work since 1995. He has extensive experience in Social Work in direct practice child welfare, public social service agency manager, program developer, grant writer, and community organizer.
He has worked with exploited populations from various local communities and nations, including human rights refugees, youth gangs, immigrants, and families in severe crisis.
