Professor Abrams has been lecturing at SJSU since 1998. He was originally selected to develop the curricula for RTFV 155 Digital Audio Production and soon became a lecturer for RTFV 150 KSJS Programming and Production, and RTVF 91 Audio and Video Production as well.
Besides lecturing at SJSU, Mr. Abrams has been the full time Production Director and an announcer at KBLX-FM in San Francisco since 1984, recording and producing radio commercials and promos and has been a daily producer of digital audio including Pro Tools since 1997.
Like many of our students, Mr. Abrams radio experience extends from high school, to college and he has continued it into pro radio. In his long career, Mr. Abrams has gained experience as a programmer, music director, news person, copywriter, disc jockey, freelance announcing and voice actor, and in production.
He is a cum laude graduate of San Francisco State University’s Broadcast and Electronics Communications Arts Department in Radio and Television.
