Bio
Dr. Maria Ochoa is an acclaimed author of several books, and her essays and poems are found in many collections. In addition to her work as a writer, Dr. Ochoa teaches in the Department of Interdisciplinary Social Science at SJSU. She lives with her husband Hayward Mayor Michael Sweeney and four feline family members in a fifty-year old home that increasingly requires repair.
