Dr. Connolly’s 46 years in nursing include acute care, community health, a private practice, administration, and teaching. She is a full professor in the School of Nursing, Graduate Coordinator and Assistant Director in the School of Nursing. She is certified as a clinical specialist in adult psychiatric/mental health nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Past President of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association (APNA); past President of the California Chapter of APNA; and past President of Alpha Gamma, Sigma Theta Tau,. She has presented over 30 presentations and has over 30 publications nationally and internationally in the area of serious mental illness rehabilitation. She is certified in in the Moller-Murphy 3 R’s Wellness Model for families and consumers. She was the Co-Project Director for FITNE Nightingale Tracker Project at SJSU Center for Excellence. And, Coordinator for the Transdisciplinary Collaboration Project at SJSU.
