Home Town: Lawrence, Kansas. Grew up in Sonoma County California (Cazadero, Occidental). Education: Santa Rosa Junior College, Sonoma State University, University of Kansas, San Jose State University. Research Interests: Medical Anthropology, Urban Poverty, Discourse Analysis, Homelessness, Identity and the Self, Technology and Learning, the "cultural consequences of changing information systems."
