Dr. Robert Chun received his BSEE Degree in 1979, his MSCS in 1981, and his Ph.D. Degree in Computer Science in 1989, all from the University of California at Los Angeles. He has 20 years of industry experience in various hardware and software engineering positions, and in R&D at corporate research laboratories. Dr. Chun became a full-time faculty member at San Jose State University in 2001. He is currently a Professor in the Computer Science Department, and teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in computer architecture and operating systems. His research interests are in the fields of Cloud Computing, high performance computer architectures, parallel and distributed processing, software engineering, CAD for VLSI design, and artificial intelligence. In 2002 and 2003, he received a NASA Faculty Fellowship enabling him to work with scientists at the Ames Supercomputing Center.
