Dr. Kim's teaching interest involves embedded system, application specific and special purpose computer system architecture and digital system design. He teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses in embedded control system design, and digital signal processing for FPGAs. His research interests include the development of parallel algorithms, parallel computational structures and computer architectures for digital signal processing with applications to multimedia and image processing. 


Looking for a couple of MS thesis/project students: topics of interest include P4/FPGA, FPGA virtualization, multiple valued logics design, 3D model reconstruction (strong programming skill required)
