The San Jos?? State University Alumni Association will award a $1,250 scholarship to each of 14 students at a reception Tuesday, October 10, at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Library. The scholarship is among the largest offered by any alumni organization in the CSU system. College deans selected recipients based on academic achievement and community service. This year's recipients are: Adeline Ca??ez, environmental studies; Amber Szoboszlai, marine science; Anita Rogacs, mechanical engineering; Bego??a Cirera Perez, nutritional science; Christina Michael, computer engineering; Daisy Tam, industrial technology; Kenitra Newman, recreation and leisure studies; Maryam Amir-Ebrahimi, child and adolescent development; Michelle Perry, English; Pejmun Zargar, accounting; Ramon Johnson, television, radio, film and theatre; Rukhsana Siddiqi, psychology; Sharon Betterton, chemistry; Tram Tran, business administration.
