Anne Johnson has been named interim associate vice president for development. She is responsible for the entire development team including major gifts, planned giving, corporate and foundation relations, annual giving, research and stewardship. She has over 13 years fundraising experience, including working on development teams for three universities. Johnson holds a bachelor's in French from the University of Kansas and a master's in education from Boston University.

Lina Melkonian has been named interim executive director of development, with responsibility for the major gift staff. For the past three years, Lina was development director for the Charles W. Davidson College of Engineering, where she helped secure the largest private individual gift in SJSU history. A former career development professional, Melkonian holds an MBA from the University of Detroit, Mercy.

Laura Henderson has been named senior development director for the Davidson College of Engineering. Henderson was development director for the College of Applied Sciences and Arts. She has also worked in development at the Computer History Museum and The Tech Museum of Innovation. An SJSU alumna, Henderson holds a bachelor's in English.

Erik Greeny has been named senior development director for the College of Business. Greeny worked in development at Stanford University before joining SJSU's Advancement Division in August 2004. Greeny holds a bachelor's in social science from California State University, Chico.

Ann Kotas has been named director of development for San José State's College of Social Science. She will move to San José from New York, where she works in University Development and Alumni Relations at Columbia University. Kotas holds a bachelor's in Japanese Literature from Stanford University and a master's in Japanese Language and Literature from the University of Washington.
