"Urban Ecology: The Others Among Us" is next in the Sustainability Matters lecture series. The event will begin at noon Wednesday, April 7, in King 225. After six Sustainability Matters forums that focused primarily on the human dimensions of sustainability, this event centers on other species that co-exist with us in our complex urban environment. Presenters will include:
- Lynne Trulio, chair, Department of Environmental Studies
- Glenn Stewart, coordinator, Santa Cruz Predatory Bird Research Group
- Roger Castillo, volunteer, Guadalupe-Coyote Resource Conservation District
- Cheryl Strong, Salt Ponds wildlife biologist, Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge
- Monica Nanez, AmeriCorps program coordinator, Our City Forest
Organic and locally sourced refreshments will be served. SJSU students, faculty and staff are welcome to attend. This event is sponsored by the Office of the President.
