How we can help you effectively promote and recruit for your online degree completion program.

Hello SJSU Online Program Partners!
We're excited to work with you to increase access for students to complete their bachelor’s degrees online with SJSU. Our affordable and convenient bachelor’s degree completion pathway includes helpful features for students who may have other demands on their time, are hoping to fulfill their dream of completing their degree, and are looking for maximum credit transferability.
- 1-on-1 enrollment counseling throughout the inquiry and application process to minimize barriers to entry and ensure high quality applicants.
- 3 rolling application cycles for a fall, spring or summer start to allow students to apply and begin at their convenience.
- 5, 8-week terms year-round to minimize the time to completion.
- Synchronous and asynchronous courses to provide opportunities for engaging with faculty and classmates as well as opportunites for self-paced study.
- 1-on-1 academic advising and support from our SJSU Online Student Success Center to increase retention and graduation rates.
Our Outreach and Recruitment Strategy
We raise awareness, build interest, and increase applications for SJSU Online programs through a combination of strategies including:
- Search engine, social media, and website retargeting advertisements
- Television and streaming advertisements
- Virtual information sessions and application webinars
- Automated email and text message campaigns
- Direct mail campaigns
Knowing that returning to college to complete a degree and completing a degree 100% online can evoke feelings such as uncertainty, doubt, and fear, our messaging aims to overcome those feelings by evoking assurance, confidence, and hope. Example messages include:

New Student Orientation: All new students are given access to an asynchronous orientation course on Canvas.

Program info: Completing this Google form will provide us with very helpful information to include on your SJSU Online program webpage, provide to our team of enrollment counselors, and share in our marketing campaigns.

Info sessions: We will organize multiple virtual info sessions each term and will need at least one representative from your program at each session to meet with prospective students and answer their questions about your program.

Livestream series: We want to include multiple program faculty in our video series to highlight the people, insights, opportunities, and value of SJSU Online.

Additional content: We will want to collaborate with you to gather additional quotes, testimonials, images, and videos from students, faculty, and alumni.

Our rolling application and admissions cycles are open nearly all year. Prospective students complete their application via the Cal State Apply website and are supported by our enrollment counseling team.
