The fully online Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence (MSAI) program blends rigorous theory with hands-on application to give you an interdisciplinary edge, preparing you for socially responsible leadership roles in autonomous technology, machine learning engineering and data science.
Drawing from computer science, mathematics and software engineering, you will solve real-world challenges and gain the expertise needed to manage complex data, deliver predictive analyses and develop intelligent hardware and software systems.

How to Apply
General Requirements

Complete at least 60 transferable semester or 90 quarter units. A maximum of 70 semester units from community colleges can be transferred toward the degree. Depending on the program, you could have as few as 50 semester units at the time of application.

Must have a degree equivalent to a four-year U.S. baccalaureate degree in the related field of mathematics, physics, computer science, engineering, or other related fields.

A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.

You do not need GRE or GMAT scores or recommendation letters.
Program-Specific Requirements

College-level course work in programming, data structures, algorithm design, a three-semester sequence of calculus, linear algebra and statistics.

Graduation Requirements

Must complete 33 credits.

You must pass the Graduation Writing Assessment Requirement (GWAR)

You must complete one culminating experience (thesis or project) under an advisor’s supervision.
