    Description: Finding, evaluating, and using information efficiently are among the most significant challenges to all professions, especially to knowledge workers. This project proposal will examine the following issues: 1) if business students are properly trained and prepared to perform effectively in a highly competitive workplace; 2) what are industry?s expectations for a new hire; 3) how information is gathered and used in the workplace; 4) if college information literacy programs align with industry expectations. This is a research project for sabbatical leave and will include intensive site visits over different industries with very diverse work culture.
