Our MPH program has been continuously accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) since 1974. CEPH is the independent agency officially recognized to accredit graduate programs in public health. We are proud to have been one of the very first accredited community health education programs outside of a school of public health.

We are currently in self-study (2011 – 2014), with our next CEPH site visit scheduled for May 2014. Self-study is always an exciting time – we welcome participation of students, alumni, and community partners. To learn more about our self-study and how you can get involved, contact MPH Program Director Dr. Edward Mamary: Edward.Mamary@sjsu.edu.

We are currently in self-study (2012-2014), with our next COAPRT site visit scheduled for spring 2014. Watch this website for ways you can get involved as we review our Recreation program and study our educational effectiveness.
