
New base funding for the upcoming fiscal year will not be reflected in the begin year base budget information sent to you by the University Budget Office. Most decisions regarding base budget augmentations have not been finalized and are still in discussion at the beginning of the budget cycle when the call for begin year budgets goes out. Please do not add new base funding to your base budget submission to the University Budget Office. Any new base funding will be added to your base budget by the University Budget Office, once management decisions are finalized. The University Budget Office will contact the recipients of any new base funding to identify chartfields for allocation. New base funding can be for Salary & Wages (S&W) and/or for Operating Expenditures & Equipment (OE&E). If any funding is for new S&W, a portion of this funding must be contributed to the University-wide staff benefits pool.
