It is unnecessary to budget for staff benefits in the CSU Operating Fund 70000. Staff benefits are managed centrally by the University Budget Office.
Once a month, after salary and benefit expenses are posted into the ledger, the University Budget Office runs a program that allocates to each Dept ID a budget equalling their benefits expenditures for the month. This process is completed just before Accounting & Financial Systems closes the month.
