Study Abroad Home : Health

Safety, Security, Health and the Law

The purpose of this section is to provide students with resources so that they will be able to maximize their health and safety while studying abroad. Our hope is that these resources will be able to equip students with the skills they need to go out and acquire the "extra knowledge" that an international journey requires. The Study Abroad Office cannot answer every question or anticipate every situation, but we do want to provoke thought about the issues. The information in the links below will provide students with a good, basic knowledge of ways to prevent illness or injury, and protect their safety and security. Study Abroad Participants are strongly encouraged to read the following information and to contact the Study Abroad Advisors with further questions. Students should also speak to other students who have already studied abroad and do some research on the country where they will be living.
