  • Programs are proposed and led by SJSU professors from various academic fields.
  • Programs are taught in another country for 3-8 weeks during the summer or winter intersession. Some programs may include coursework before or after the program overseas.
  • Participants will receive 3-6 units of SJSU Special Session coursework, including some courses that meet G.E. requirements. Some courses are cross-listed in multiple departments.
  • Programs are open to all degree-seeking students from SJSU or other universities/colleges.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Participants must be in upper division undergraduate or graduate standing, unless approved by faculty leaders.
  • All participants must be at least 18 years old.
  • Some programs may have other eligibility requirements. Please see individual program information for more details.

Timeline, Payment Schedule and Refund Policy

Application deadline for Summer programs
March 3rd

Application review and notification of status is ongoing until
If accepted into the program, students will receive an Acceptance Letter and Packet. Most forms in packet are also available on this website.

March 21st
 
Submit non-refundable program fees and Placement Acceptance Agreement, and register online for your course.
April 15th
