Short-term
Study Abroad Programs
SJSU offers many short-term study abroad options for those students
who are not able to study overseas for a semester or an academic year.
Most programs focus on a particular academic field or theme, but some
programs are cross-listed in more than one department.
- SJSU Faculty-Led Study Abroad
Programs
These are programs in which SJSU professors take students overseas
for 3-8 weeks during the summer or winter intersession.
- SJSU Partner University
Summer Programs
These are 5-8 week summer programs in which students take courses
at partner institutions through direct relationships with various
universities.
Locations include: France and Spain
- International
Student Exchange Program (ISEP) Summer Programs
These are 5-8 week summer programs in which students take courses
at partner institutions through the ISEP consortium.
Locations include: Chile, China, Finland, France, Germany, Korea,
Malta, Mexico, the Netherlands, Thailand and the United Kingdom
- Summer
Study In Paris
Study French language and culture in Paris, France for one month during
the summer. Live with a family or stay in dormitories (with private
bathroom). Take a three-day excursion to Brittany with visits to Mont-St.-Michel,
Normandy and D-Day museums and charming Breton villages, plus daytrips
to Versailles, Rouen, Monet's home at Giverny and Fontainebleau. In
Paris, activities range from theater and ballet to guided visits to
the Louvre and the Musee d'Orsay. Two study options are offered: a
full French language and civilization course, or a Civilization course
and survival French language course.
