MPH ListservThe MPH listserv is an optional service available to existing MPH students and faculty only. The listserv provides us with a communication vehicle that can be used to share information, post job openings, and make announcements to fellow students. The following guidelines have been developed to ensure that the listserve continues to be an efficient, useful tool for us all. There is also a listserve for SJSU MPH alumni. When replying to an email, reply to the individual, NOT the listserv. This may require you to enter in the address manually or by highlighting the sender address and pressing reply. (depending on which internet service provider you are using) DO NOT hit the reply button as this will respond to the listserve. - When sending a message through the listserv, include your name and the way you prefer to be contacted in your message.
- Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Please be respectful of their right to express it.
- The listserv is a mode of communicating information. Please refrain from sending chain letters through the listserv.
- If you have any personal comments regarding a message, please address the situation with the individual, not the listserv.
- Listserv eligibility- all SJSU MPH students can subscribe to the listserv. Alumni are kept on the listserv for one month, then are moved onto an alumni list. Please contact the MPHSA Alumni contact for more information.
- Respect personal information. Do not give out email addresses unless authorized by the individual.
- Always be sensitive to other feelings when sending anything through the listserv. (Rule of thumb: If you're not comfortable saying it in a public setting, then the listserv is not the appropriate format).
- Please clearly identify the purpose of your email in the subject line to allow people the chance to screen their messages.
