SJSU is not required to make changes in the fundamental characteristics of a product to comply with Section 508 Standards.
This does not apply to cosmetic or aesthetic changes.

The Section 508 Compliance Specialistwill work with you to determine if the E&IT product(s) qualify for an exception and will notify Purchasing, if approved.
If an exception is approved, it is important to note that by statutory obligations, you must still provide an Alternative Means of Access to persons with disabilities.
