RapidReq Advantages

The RapidReq is similar to the Web Requisition, but the processing time is much shorter and campus departments have more control over the procurement process. The reason for the shorter processing time is that the requestor must perform certain tasks that Purchasing usually performs.

Rapidreq Criteria

To take advantage of the RapidReq process, you will need to perform simple, yet important purchasing tasks. Failure to complete all of these tasks will disqualify your order for RapidReq processing:

• Maximum dollar amount of $5,000.
• Requestor obtains valid quote from vendor.
• Requestor faxes vendor quote to Purchasing the same day that RapidReq is entered.
• Requestor works directly with vendor to:
  • Expedite order.
  • Resolve any shipping issues or product returns.
  • Resolve any invoicing issues.

Disqualified RapidReqs

If quote is missing or invalid, or if the requested product or service is deemed ineligible for RapidReq processing, the buyer will process the requisition as a web requisition under regular processing timelines. For more information, see Order Status & Timelines.
