Science & Technoloqv Lecture / Panel Discussion at San José State University
Data Science and beyond: Technical, economic and societal challenges — analysing data
from a 860° degree perspective: images, text and numerical data.

Attend the keynote lectures and join the panel discussion on the emerging field of Data Science. The goal is to discuss the topic from a wide range of perspectives, including technological, economic and societal challenges. The speakers will present various international views on the topic and address the impact of the new EU data protection regulation on data science activities. International representatives from both academia and industry will contribute to the panel discussion, forming a holistic view based of various forms of data, such as images, text and numeric data.

The event will be ‘sweetened’ by a traditional Swiss apero.

The panel discussion will be open to students from San Jose State University, academics, delegates from the ZUrich meets San Francisco festival and the general public.

ZHAW School of Engineering
