Tea and Zen Have One Taste - Practice

Text and Images from Slide

After the meal and break in the garden, guests are summoned back to the tearoom with the same kind of gong used to call monks to "dharma combat" with their spiritual teacher (roshi).

A woman in a blue kimono with a red obi squats down on the stone path to the tea house with one knee up. She holds her fan in her right hand and it rests on her right knee. Her left hand rests on her left thigh. Her eyes and head are lowered.
