
Tutoring services are provided by peer tutors for San José State University (SJSU) students in many introductory and advanced courses taught at the university. Peer tutors are nationally certified by the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA). Subject areas offered include English/Writing, Mathematics, Sciences, Engineering, History, Political Science, and Foreign Languages. All services are offered to registered SJSU students free of charge.
LARC offers workshops for WST preparation throughout the semester. In addition, we present and co-sponsor a variety of study skills workshops through the Spartan Success Workshop Series.
Our computer lab has 24 computers with printer access (with your SJSU gold point acccount). We also provide wireless internet service.
This area is available for students who would like a quiet place to work on assignments or study. To use the Study Zone, please speak with our Front Desk Staff.
LARC offers evening tutoring in the Living Learning Center (LLC) in Campus Village-B. LARC tutors are available for drop-in consultation in the LLC on Mondays and Tuesdays from 6:00-8:00 PM. Tutoring is available for lower division Math and Writing courses. This is open to all regularly enrolled SJSU students.
Professional staff members are available for individual student meetings.
