Welcome to San José State University and to our Master of Public Health Online Format! It is our pleasure to welcome you as you begin your MPH degree. You are in for an experience that will be fast-paced, intense, and very rewarding.

You have chosen a field that is growing, dynamic, and vitally important. Our MPH program will prepare you to work with communities to plan, implement, and evaluate programs and policies that aim to eliminate health disparities, promote health equity, and advance social justice.

As trained public health professionals and graduates of a Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) accredited public health program, you will position yourselves to work in a variety of organizational settings at the local, national, and international levels to serve communities in maintaining and improving health.
