Bio

Dr. Camagna received her doctorate in Developmental/Organizational Psychology from the University of San Francisco. Her research interests are in the area of human development, geropsychology, and health and wellness for women. She is currently consulting in San Diego County.

Dr. Camagna has been a faculty member in the Departments of Psychology and Health Science since 1994. She has taught a wide variety of courses, including Psychology of Aging, Psychology of Women, Psychology of Prejudice, Management Psychology, Human Life Span, and Human Sexuality. She also developed and taught San Jose State University's first Community Mental Health and Women's Health courses. In addition, Dr. Camagna served as the Undergraduate Director in the Health Science Department from 2002-2005. Her philosophy as an educator is one of lifelong learning. She was the recipient of the SJSU 2005 Outstanding Lecturer Award. Dr. Camagna has been a member of several campus and community advisory board groups, including the Student Health Service Advisory Committee, the Santa Clara County Elder Abuse Task Force, Santa Clara University Law School, the Council on Aging of Silicon Valley, and Santa Clara Unified Older Adult Program. She has served as past president of the Bench and Bar League of Santa Clara County. Dr. Camagna is active in national and regional psychology associations.
