A California native, Blythe Nobleman is a writer and educator in first-year composition and rhetoric, creative writing and literature, in addition to courses in writing about science and technology. She previously taught at University of Utah, Florida International University,  University of Miami and Stevens Institute of Technology. An avid outdoor enthusiast, she is also a passionate environmental activist whose interests center on climate change communications, conservation and sustainability.
