* This internship course is open to aspiring writers in all majors and counts as an upper-level elective.

About HA-187: Creative Team Practicum, Editorial

In fall 2024, the editorial team will meet in person on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10:30 - 11:45 a.m. Class meetings will consist of a short lesson or writing/editing workshop, a team check-in with the college’s internship coordinator, and/or time to work on projects. Depending on the workload for any particular week, we sometimes conclude meetings early.

In addition to class meetings, interns will also work 6 hours a week for the marketing office (on the aforementioned writing/editing assignments). These additional hours may be completed in person and/or remotely.

By the end of the semester, you'll have a portfolio of professional, published work—and practical experience working on a cross-functional (writing, design, photography, film) creative team.
