Announcement

Federal mandates require public transit agencies to prioritize safety management. The Certificate in Transportation Safety, Security, and Emergency Management (TSSEM) prepares students for these essential careers. Join this four-course online certificate and gain knowledge critical to protecting human life.

The three areas that this certificate covers, safety, security, and emergency management, are each critical to an organization's safety management. While each is independent of one another, this certificate covers all three, giving participants the opportunity to succeed in managing an organization's emergency response and maintaining safety on a daily basis.

The four courses are taught live online, in a group setting, and in the evening at designated Caltrans offices around California. The program enables students to earn 9 units of course credit that may later be applied to the Master of Transportation Management (MSTM) program.
