Main campus

More than 50 major buildings (23 academic buildings, seven residence halls) on 19 city blocks in downtown San José. Main entrance is at Fourth and San Carlos Streets.

South campus

Located 1.5 miles from the main campus, the 62-acre facility includes the Spartan Stadium and athletic fields.

Airport campus

General and commercial aviation management and operations instructional facilities on 5 acres at San José International Airport.

Library

City/university library is first in the nation to be funded, managed and operated by a city and a major university. Visit King Library's website.

Special facilities

Recent campus improvement projects

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Library

$177.5 million collaborative project between the city of San José and SJSU. An eight-story library at the corner of Fourth and San Fernando Streets. State, city and private funds. Opened August 2003.

Business Classroom Project

$16 million renovation of the building, including telecommunications. State and private funds. Completed spring 2000.

Heritage Gateways

$1.5 million installation of eight gateways around the perimeter of the campus. Privately funded. Dedicated fall 1999.

Child Care Center

Located at Eighth and William Streets. Funded by Associated Students. Opened summer 2000.

Housing Complex: Campus Village

Consisting of three buildings, with the tallest a 15-story high-rise, the residential complex can house up to 3,000 students. Opened fall 2005.

UPD Building

Multi-level facility adjacent to the Seventh Street Garage houses the University Police Department. State and private funding. Opened fall 2000.
