Accessibility in
Learning & Teaching
Overview
Today students come to us with various learning needs, experiences, learning abilities, and learning styles. Accessibility is the key word when we identify an equitable solution to reach all students. Creating accessible instructional strategies and materials will enable all students to access, participate, and express; to learn in a way that is appropriate for the individuals. This web site consists of the following modules:
Implement Universal Design for Learning (UDL) concepts and guidelines in your course design: syllabus; learning activities; assessment; rubrics, etc.
Take advantage of the accessibility features in your software such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, etc. when authoring and publishing your instructional materials.
Take the step-by-step and media-rich tutorials offered by the ATI of CSU for both faculty and staff either for updating existing web content or creating new pages, maintaining sites for the department or college web server.
Use our Spartan Web Wizard, a web based course web site development tool for faculty that automatically generates your web pages for posting instructional materials.
