Information literacy has become a campus-wide initiative this year. What’s in it for you?
• Students know where to look for and how to evaluate appropriate literature
• Students use more scholarly resources for their papers and presentations
• Students know when and how to find assistance
This session will help you develop a working definition of information literacy for your courses, plan efficient and effective assignments for maximum literacy, take advantage of SJSU Library online tutorials (e.g. on plagiarism), and will address your specific concerns about students’ information skills and knowledge.
