Before you begin to write your thesis or dissertation you are required to thoroughly read the Master's Thesis and Doctoral Dissertation Guidelines. These guidelines cover all instructions for composing, formatting, and submitting your thesis or dissertation.

NEW! GRADUATE STUDENT WRITING ASSISTANCE
Writing assistance is available for all graduate student writers with Amy Russo, Coordinator of Multilingual Writing Support Services in the University Writing Center. During the fall semester, Amy is available Tuesdays, 1:00 – 4:00; Wednesdays, 9:00 – 1:00; and Thursdays, 1:00- 4:00. If none of these appointment times work, it may be possible to schedule a special appointment. Appointments can be scheduled by emailing Amy Russo at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Other tutors from the Writing Center are available for appointments, Monday - Thursday, 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. and Friday, 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. As with the policy of the Writing Center, graduate students may sign up for 30-minute or 60-minute appointments. For thesis or dissertation assistance, it is recommended that you schedule 60-minute sessions. Students are allowed to schedule two appointments per week. Call the Writing Center at 408.924.2308 or visit in person to request one-hour appointments.
