Music
San José State University's School of Music and Dance program offers a wide variety of courses. The curriculum in all concentrations includes private instruction with active professionals; music theory/musicianship; music history; solo, chamber, and large ensemble performance; as well as jazz studies.
Dance
The SJSU Dance Program offers a wide variety of performance and professional opportunities to begin a career of excellence, including Company One and University Dance Theatre (UDT).
Radio, Television, Video and Film
Every summer, fifty to sixty students of RTVF spend the summer working on the fully student-ran summer film as part of the Spartan Film Studios, directed by Barnaby Dallas and Nick Martinez.
Theatre Arts
Students of the SJSU Theatre Arts program are encouraged to participate in the on-campus play productions. One of the program's recent productions was the stage adaptation of Jane Austen's EMMA.
Animation & Illustration
The Animation/Illustration students work year-round to perfect their craft for careers as visual storytellers. They end each year with a senior showcase of their work.
