Health Insurance
Health insurance is not required for a visit at the Health Center. However, since there is no overnight, weekend, or long-term medical care provided by the Health Center, health insurance may be needed to reimburse a portion of the costs of outside hospitalization, special tests, and specialty care that are not available at the Health Center. Those who do not have health insurance, through parents or employer, are encouraged to review cost and benefits of supplemental health insurance offered through the Associated Students (408) 924-6200. There is a separate plan for international students (408) 924-5920. Insurance plan details from the Associated Students of SJSU can be found at CSU Healthlink.
The Affordable Care Act allows most young adults to stay on their parent's family plan until they turn 26
(whether you're married, in school, or financially independent). Check out facebook.com/youngadultcoverage
