Study & Travel with SJSU
Study abroad with a group of classmates and earn SJSU credit on a Faculty-Led Program. Faculty-Led Programs (FLPs) are SJSU courses taught abroad by SJSU faculty from various academic fields for 1-4 weeks during the winter, spring and summer breaks. Courses focus on a particular theme and typically range from 3-6 units. Several programs satisfy graduation requirements and many are open to all majors.
Winter Faculty-Led Programs (FLP) enable students to study abroad with SJSU faculty and classmates during the Winter Session in January. All winter programs offer one course focused on a particular theme.
Summer Faculty-Led Programs (FLP) offer students the opportunity to study abroad with SJSU faculty and classmates and earn SJSU credit during the Summer Session. Most options are 2-3 weeks long and focus on a particular theme with 1-2 courses taught by SJSU faculty.
Explore another region of the United States or the globe and focus on learning about diverse cultures alongside SJSU classmates during spring and summer breaks without an academic component.
Programs are led by SJSU staff, often include service learning activities, and vary in length (1 week for spring programs and 1-3 weeks for summer programs). These are co-curricular programs and do not offer academic credit.
