All SJSU students are strongly encouraged to check their email daily for important campus messages regarding: classes, campus information, departmental messages, as well as EOP messages.

Per President Papazian's message as of 3/16, SJSU remains open, even though the majority of students, staff, and faculty will not need to—and should not—come to campus (shelter in place mandate):

The EOP Office is closed until 4/7/2020. Please email us at with any questions/inquiries.

Current SJSU EOP Students:
EOP academic advising appointments are now online!  EOP advisors are available 10am- 2pm for remote advising, via Google Meet.  Please email your EOP advisor directly with your name, SJSU ID, your question/concerns, and days/times that you are available.
Prospective Students:
Fall 2020 EOP Admission decisions will be sent via MySJSU mid-April.

The Educational Opportunity Program is designed to improve student academic support of first-generation, low-income and educationally disadvantaged students. The program provides admission, academic, and financial assistance to EOP-eligible undergraduate students considered California residents or AB540 students.

The Educational Opportunity Program staff is committed to providing students with support services to achieve their personal and academic goals while they are in college and in preparation for success beyond their undergraduate degree.
